Had a lovely day on Friday at Geevor Tin Mine celebrating the publication of “My Funny Family Gets Bigger” by going down the mine with Pendeen school and panning for Fools Gold and amethyst. “My Funny Family on Holiday” was set around here and it was so exciting to go down the mine and experience something of what it was like to be a 10 year old boy working underground a hundred years ago. Thanks to Trish at Young Cultural Creators for organizing this event and Clint at the mine for the great stories and the year 5s and 6s at Pendeen for your enthusiasm.
